Policy on scanning of stray dogs - Stray dogs will be scanned, but dogs who stray repeatedly may be taken directly to pound.

Policy on scanning of dead dogs  - Cleansing teams pick up dead dogs and do not carry scanners. However, dog wardens will scan dead dogs if looking for a specific animal.

Microchipping provision - No information on website and I've not been able to ascertain that they do.  Happy to be corrected.

Out of hours service for stray dogs - No information on website on what to do if you either find or lose a dog out of normal office hours, though there are online forms  which can be completed.

Numbers of stray dogs and how they are dealt with - Click here to see stray dog figures (will open in new window).  Neath Port Talbot are to be congratulated that only a tiny number of dogs have been killed in the past four years.

Additional services -   None.  The NPT website says the Dog Wardens work in partnership with charities such as Dogs Trust, but gives no details.  The press release section for the Dog Wardens on the website is empty and was last updated in February 2009, which doesn't suggest a busy programme of events.

Dog Control Orders -  No information on website.
